The MAFFL Spring 2013 Season

The Regular season is over, and the playoff chase is over.  Who made? Who didn't?  What happened this lovely Mothers Day at Tucker Road.  A lot!!!  You needed to Win to stay In, or at least get some help if you lost.

Day started early for Metro Dawgs, and Deadly Assault.  Another big game to move forward with playoff seedings.  DA took advantage of an uncharacteristic Metro mistake and then held on for the win.  Metro came right back, and ended their 1st 2 game losing streak in a number of years (8-2) and beat a resilient Broncos team.  Deadly Assault started their next game slow, and the Bruins - being the vets they are- took great advantage and put DA on their heels. Battle did lead them back, and put them in at a solid 7-3 record. Meanwhile, Southside and Dynasty fought? to a 0-0 tie so I'm not sure who opens the donut shop there.  Dynasty did score in their next game, sending Southern Comfort in a WAC Rebels game and taking 2 losses on the day.  WAC (7-3)came to the field ready to go, and after handling Southern Comfort, then survived a flurry from The New Era. Back on field one, RydeOut was playing the DMV.  They had to win both games against the Broncos and the Eagles to stay in pace with DA and WAC.  They played tough, and came away at 7-3 as well.  The Eagles sneak in the back door with a Southside tie and have set their place at #8.  The Win by the Blackhawks over The New Era set Them at #1 regardless, and placed The New Era at #7.  The biggest shake up of the brackets was the "called shot" by Light Em Up who took their first win in dramatic fashion and dropping GetSome (7-3) into a 4 way tie.  See how that broke down here

See everyone in a few weeks.

Standings are updated - so take a peak and see where you fell/rose to.

Our league has produced, and still hosts NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP TEAMS such as Metro Dawgs, Deadly Assault, and the recently crowned WAC Rebels. We also have had a number of TOURNAMENT champions such as FE Blackhawks, DMV Broncos, and The Beltway Bruins come out of the MAFFL.

Games are at Tucker Road Sports Complex

If you want the true experience of 9-man football, the chance to test squad against the best in the nation, the MAFFL is where you want to me.
